In July 2023, the Russian Cigar Union organized the fourth “Quiet Don” cigar expedition—an annual rafting trip down the Don River. We took the opportunity to offer our cigars for a blind tasting by the participants. Our flagship entry in the tasting was the Toro Linea Maduro. The result: 87 points out of 100! According to Eduard Sukharev, Chairman of the Russian Tasting Commission, the Toro is “a good cigar”: the construction is excellent, while the flavor slightly trails the appearance. Well then—there’s room for improvement. Challenge accepted!
